You might think then that means there are 27 possible numbers on the bingo ticket, well not quite. On the 90 ball bingo ticket only five of the 9 spaces making up each row are actually filled with numbers. This leaves four spaces that are intentionally left blank. Therefore, there is only a total of 15 numbers on each bingo ticket.

When bingo tickets for 90 ball bingo are created, a special formula is used for completing the numbers on the card. The first column can only feature the numbers from 1 to 9 while the second column is home to numbers from 10 to 19. The pattern thus continues until the final column which features numbers 80 to 90.

Another special aspect of the game of 90 ball UK bingo is that it actually is made of three games. When using a bingo ticket, there are three ways in which one can get a bingo. Once all of these ways have occurred, the bingo ticket is cleared and either used again or traded in for a new one. The first bingo in a game of 90 ball bingo occurs when a player has covered all of the numbers in one horizontal row. Play then resumes without clearing the bingo ticket. The second bingo happens when a player has covered all of the numbers in two horizontal rows. Again, the game continues until the third and final bingo is called. This is known as a full house because the player must have all spaces on their bingo ticket covered.
