The freerolls that are open to new players typically have small prize pools but occasionally you’ll find special promotions where new players can compete for some pretty hefty prizes. Every poker site holds freeroll tournaments every day so you shouldn’t have any problems finding freerolls. Once you find an online poker site that you like, all you have to do is download the software and create an account. You don’t have to make a deposit, register your banking information or anything else of the sort.

 

To download the poker software, just visit the website of whatever poker site you decide to go with. You’ll see big “download now” or “play now” links all over the place. Just click on one of those and follow the instructions. Once you have the software downloaded and installed, it only takes a few seconds to create your player account.

 

After that you can play in freerolls any time by opening your poker software and going to the “tournaments” tab. Look for the tournaments that either have the word “freeroll” or have entry fees of $0. Some freerolls are private but most of them will be open for you to join.

 

Once you find a freeroll that looks good, double click on it and you’ll be taken to the tournament lobby screen. Inside that screen, you can register for the tournament, check out the prize pool information and see who else is playing. When it’s time for the tournament to begin, you’ll automatically be taken to your seat. The rest is up to you.
