Absolute Poker Review

Absolute Poker has joined forces with Ultimate Bet after a crazy year in 2008 and now they’ve formed one of the largest poker networks called the Cereus Poker Network. The poker room has been around since 2003 and was one of the earlier pioneers to start running an online poker room, but they ran into some problems this past year which slowed down action in the room. After fixing the problem and joining up with Ultimate Bet I feel that Absolute Poker is back and a name to be reckoned with. US players are still allowed to play on this poker network which helps keep the player traffic nice and busy. You’ll always be able to find action while playing at Absolute Poker and it’s a great room that I can personally recommend.

Software

Since moving to the new network they have completely executed a makeover on there old software suite and it’s now a powerful and robust platform that they can be proud of. Previous to the network switch Absolute lacked a great software program to run there poker room, but that now is changed. The new version of software is full of new add-ons and features which make the playing experience more enjoyable. Some of the features of the new software consist of a nice stats add-on, ability to play up to ten tables, table designs, chat boxes and tons of settings like deck colors and such. The colors used on the design are also easy on the eye and attractive to most people. Overall the new software is definitely a step up from the old and should only mean good things are coming from Absolute Poker in 2009.

Games

On the new Absolute Poker you can enjoy playing limit poker, pot limit poker and no limit poker ranging in stakes from $.02/$.04 – $500/$1000 which means they cater to the high stake players. You can also enjoy a variety of poker games including Texas Holdem, Omaha Hi/Lo, Omaha Hi, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud Hi, Razz, H.O.S.E. and H.O.R.S.E. poker. As you can see there is a nice selection of stakes and games to play and you shouldn’t ever get bored while at Absolute Poker. There are also lots of ongoing tournaments which are played daily in the Absolute Poker room.

Traffic

Since joining together with the Ultimate Bet brand and forming a network together the traffic at Absolute Poker has increased greatly. Both rooms share players and traffic now so they have quickly jumped into being one of the most visited and used poker room online. Before joining with UB the poker room still had lots of traffic, but it definitely took a massive jump for the better when teaming up with UB.
